The Innovation Nation Conference is produced by, the Centre for Surgical Invention and Innovation (CSii), a nationally funded Centre of Excellence and research accelerator.

The Conference is designed to encourage and promote the development of innovation in all of its forms.

Innovation Nation will focus on Canadian innovation in science, the arts and technology from past, present and future perspectives to facilitate the exchange of ideas and concepts that will create a new generation of innovative products, solutions and cultural endeavours.

The Conference will provide innovators the opportunity to network with industry experts, peers and members of other government centres of excellence and provide recognition for Canadian pioneers in innovation who have laid the foundation for the development of inventions that have changed our world.

With an eye to the future the Conference will showcase the work of innovators who are presently redefining and redesigning our world.

Day two of the Conference is devoted to a Robotics and Innovation Competition designed to create a forum where high school and university students can present their innovations to a panel of prestigious industry experts for the opportunity to win prizes and network with some of the leading innovators in the country.

The Robotics & Innovation Competition on July 09, 2013, day two of the Innovation Nation Conference will showcase innovations from university and high school students from across Canada and provide students with the opportunity to network with industry experts, scientists, artists, engineers and academics.

Ten finalists from entries in each of the categories, university/college and high school, will be selected to showcase their innovations at the Robotics & Innovation Showcase.

The finalists will be judged by a distinguished panel of experts who will award prizes to the top three innovations in each category.
